PG&E Power Safety Outage

 

Many residents of Northern California are experiencing PG&E power outages-the reason? To prevent power lines from sparking wildfires during dry and windy weather.

 

 Tips to prevent a wildfire (exterior part of home)

  1. Trim trees around the
  2. Clear an area around the house to create a buffer zone to reduce the spread of fire.
  3. Don’t stack firewood close to the
  4. Minimize attached structures that may spread fire to the house.
  5. Clean your rain gutters. Open rain gutters hold debris. A single spark could ignite the debris and the fire could easily spread to your home’s roof or siding and set adjacent trees and bushes ablaze.
