Create An Engergy Efficient Home
Interest
in energy efficiency is high on every homeowner’s
agenda, considering the escalating costs of electricity
and fuel. Many roofing systems now have cool
options available to help reduce the heat transferred
into a home or building. There are a variety
of “cool roof” products that reduce energy costs,
conserve our resources and allow homeowners to
receive rebates and loans (if available) from
participating utility companies. Federal tax
credits are also available for home energy efficiency
improvements due to the American Recovery and
Reinvestment Stimulus Plan of 2009.
The following are a list of products
that achieve an energy efficient home.

The California Energy Code, or Title 24, Part 6 of the California Code of Regulations,
also titled The Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Nonresidential
Buildings, were established in 1978 in response to a legislative mandate to reduce
California's energy consumption. As of January 1, 2010, these standards will
be updated. There are different options to choose from and Cal-Vintage Roofing
can answer all your questions and make sure your home has all the requirements
needed to meet the new standards.
